Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985 in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion of sprinting while during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her initial attempt, she placed 2nd in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. She won the title in 2007. defended the title against her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She was consistently within the top three places of the events.
