Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actress. Her debut in a feature film was in a minor role on the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte as Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody became a model after the opportunity was offered by a hopeful photographer. Her career has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work, a rule that she incorporated into her acting. When she was dragged into the sights of the director who cast the upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody's name was featured in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising young actors in 1986. 38. Still only 18 when she appeared in the film, Doody was, and still is - the youngest Bond girl that has ever appeared. Another early movie played a tiny part in the film as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she was a film starring Mickey Rourke. Doody had a non-speaking role in the 1987 version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in a dream. The first time she played the lead in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She worked with Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as a archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has worked with three James Bond actors. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal she was later chosen to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his agent and girlfriend. Doody was a part of the 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony for an award. The year 2004, she appeared in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Later, she guest-starred in RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to appear in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria tierra de film award was presented to her on November 21 the 21st of November, 2018. She also received a star on the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
